Fostering

Pumpkin’s Acres Rabbit Rescue does not have a physical location which means we rely on the kindness of foster parents to care for our adoptable bunnies. The more foster homes we have, the more bunnies we can rescue. We provide the supplies and cover all veterinary costs, you provide the love.

Requirements to Foster

1. Applicants must be 21 years of age or older

2. Rabbits must always be housed indoors

3. Applicants must have a valid drivers license and be able to take the rabbit to our vet in St. Catharines

4. Applicants ideally are able to house their foster rabbit until they’re adopted. At the very minimum, for 6 months.

5. Regular communication via text, email or Facebook is necessary

6. Children cannot be the primary caregivers for the animals

7. A photo of the fostering setup is to be submitted via email with the application

8. All other rabbits in the house must be spayed or neutered, and vaccinated against RHDV2. They also need to be kept separate from foster rabbits.
